The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms have always been clean on my stays. I love the Aveda products the hotel provides. How much time do you spend in the bathroom anyways? There is a mirror and vanity table outside the bathroom for those who need more space and time in front of a mirror. It is an old hotel and we all used to be smalller and care less about needing an excessive amount of space back in the day. Yes the bathrooms are small - so just expect it and move past it. The restaurant serves one of my favorite dishes: a vegetable panini that is delicious with a side of fruit. Makes you feel like you are not coming back to a typical boring hotel at the end a work-day. Love the unique glam beach ambiance at the hotel. I come to ATL several times a year for work and this hotel is now my 1st choice for staying in Atlanta. If you want to go a bit further, there is a fantasic pizza place called Antico Pizza on Hemphill Ave, less. There is an italian restaurant kiddy-corner to the hotel (Baraonda) that is great if you want to venture out close to the hotel. I love the location of this hotel most of all - midtown is a fun area and I regularly walk north up Peachtree to Piedmont park on my visits. The bathrooms are extra small, but since it was just me in my room, it wasn’t a problem.I come to ATL several times a year for work and this hotel is now my 1st choice for staying in Atlanta. As expected in a historic hotel, the rooms are a little small, but they were very comfortable and very clean and had everything you would want. I can’t speak for any of the hotel amenities (bar, restaurant, etc.) because we didn’t use them. Every time we came in and out of the hotel we were greeted by a staff member. We arrived early in the day and we just stopped in at the front desk to see when our room would be ready, and not only did they help us check in early, they also gave us great restaurant recommendations and nicer rooms! We were blown away at the great customer service we received from Jamari at the front desk. Well, you can’t get much closer than right across the street! Parking in their garage was very easy and $29 seems very fair to me, especially given that we could come and go as we wanted. We were in town to see a show at The Fox and I wanted to be close enough to walk to the theater.
